Judy Preli Lynch spent most of her life in South Glastonbury and was an involved/giving member of the community. She was a hard worker who loved people and made friends easily with her gentle charm. A brief encounter often blossomed into a lifelong friendship. She happily kept the USPS busy by never missing an important event in a friend’s life: birthday, anniversary, new baby, or just because …
Judy’s four children were the focal point of her life. She zipped around to all their events, making sure that soccer, dance, basketball and other interests enriched their lives and inspired them to be well rounded, confident and happy children. Her grandchildren became her focus the minute they were born. She never missed an event or milestone and made sure she was a huge part of their lives.
Judy had a loving, caring soul, and gave selflessly to her family and friends, hoping only to make a difference for those in need. Not only was she there for family & friends, but she tirelessly offered her services up to her church, local soup kitchens, & food banks whenever possible. She taught her children to always look out for others. She lent an extra helping hand whenever needed.
To honor Judy’s extraordinary sense of giving, a scholarship has been established to assist a Glastonbury student, focused on work ethic and putting others first. We are proud to have given $16,000 back to these deserving, young students as they venture off to college:
